Storm Blogger

So there are a few things interesting about tonight. First of all there is a "post tropical storm" outside, and it's windy. Second, it's daylight savings night, and for the second year in a row, I'm working that magic unpaid 13th hour. My favorite.

They say that it works out in the end, but right now when I'm looking at the clock and seeing 3:37am when I should see 4:47am, I am displeased.

The power has gone out twice, for ten minutes at a time. It's weird being in a constantly buzzing building when there suddenly is no buzz. It's weird and boring... very boring. They've pulled the crews off of the road cuz it's too dangerous, so if the power goes off again it'll likely be for the rest of the night. Don't worry, I have my trusty wind-up radio to keep me company. Plus we're located near a hospital, which I believe puts us in a high priority zone.
