Gopher. Everett?

O Brother. Good movie. And much more meaningful when you've been to some of the places they mention.

I bought a plane ticket for the 18th of April out of Nashville. So I will definitely be heading home on that date. However, what I do between now and then is very much up in the air.

Today there was mention that I could potentially go to Georgia to work until the 13th with a couple of other female staff from here. We'd work the same shift so we could visit such tropical locations as Savannah and the coast of Florida. This option hasn't been offered to me yet, directly, but I may be inquiring. The other thing is I could just head to Jackson, TN, visit some family for a couple weeks. Live for free. Do some fun things, see cute children... you know, that kind of thing.

It's a toss up, but I'll try to have it figured out in a day or two.

I think going home may be more of an adventure than moving here was. When I moved here I had a job, I had a place to live. Moving home I don't know where I'm going to live, I have no job, and what meagre savings I have are owed to various and sundry institutions. (i.e. student loan, from whom I just heard that I can no longer apply for student aid). I still owe a lot for a cell phone... and some other people.

Woe is me, right? I'm not going to worry about it, there's not much I can change. I just need to face the demons and squish them with lots of money.

Some may have the impression that I did not fully enjoy my time here. While there were several challenges, I do value that experience I've had living in the South. One thing I've learned is that you can't become who you aren't by moving away.

A characteristic of youth and immaturity that I would like to do is the insatiable desire to be right all the time. I like control, being right, and doing things a certain way, and this may be a problem in the future/now.

And I'd like a tan.
